Absent Findings Is an Ode to a Different Dubai

This is where Singh and Puscasu have built one of the UAE’s most exciting independent fashion labels. Four collections in, you may have come across the duo within the region’s creative circles. You’ve seen their pieces at Sole DXB, Serai Collective, and Ether in Abu Dhabi. At the very least, you’ve likely spotted someone carrying their sculptural Gallery Bag, made of quilted leather and architectural stitch lines inspired by Le Corbusier's Chandigarh to the drape of Singh's mother’s saris.

While their fabric – all deadstock textile – are sourced from Italy, every prototype, handbag, and garment is developed and produced in the UAE. "I want to show people that the UAE is not just a luxury client," Singh tells me. "It's also a luxury producer."
